Filtronic´s air curtain cabinet is equivalent to a conventional suction cabinet but using a much lower volume of extracted air and therefore has lower energy consumption.
A suction cabinet consumes around 1000 m3/h air, the CBC-A only needs 200 m3/h. With the same amount of air, one conventional suction cabinet can be replaced by five CBC-A and in that way get further four work stations.
In work places that does not have central ventilation the CBC-A can be connected to Filtronic´s filter systems, which circulates the polluted air.
The air curtain cabinet does not only contribute to lower energy costs, it has more benefits. It can easy be placed on the workbench surface and be connected to the central ventilation or to Filtronic´s mobile filter systems. The last alternative creates a mobile workstation where no fixed installation is required, and it can easily be moved around form one area to another.
Instead of a front glass screen the CBC-A uses dual air curtain technology creating a rotation of the air mass inside the cabinet, preventing the fumes form escaping. It also gives the operator the freedom of an open front cabinet to work in.
The CBC-A, air curtain cabinet has been tested and verified by third party.
